Beaches come in infinite variety around the world --- white, red, gold and black sands, big waves or clear still waters – each one beckons the visitor to wander along the shore and contemplate life. 

Often, the beach is the destination – the reason for the trip. Here are some truly special beaches for you to consider: 

If you want to have a beach more or less to yourself, Las Galeras in Samana, D.R. is as close to perfection as you can get.  Pristine, isolated and gorgeous! 

Sunrise Beach in Koh Lipe, Thailand is another remote beach that is worth the boat ride --- claiming the prettiest sunrises anywhere and clear waters.

Madrigal Beach on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica where the rainforest meets the beach – watch the spectacular sunrise and sunset while monkeys play in the jungle nearby.

The Split in Belize isn’t really a beach at all --- yet it has an unmistakable beach vibe and it is a lot of fun to hang out there with the locals – and the sea horses!
