Food has become a destination itself, the actual reasons for traveling to foodies -- the key experience.

If that sounds like you, there are some spectacular destinations that offer unique local cuisine that is unforgettable.

San Sebastien in northern Spain is a beautiful coastal city famous for tapas – or in Basque – Pintxos. Go bar hopping and sample local wines along with delicious small plates perfect for sharing. Needless to say, seafood is prevalent!

Copenhagen has its own version of tapas --- Smorrebrod ---small open-faced sandwiches with incredible toppings. And really, you must try aquavit, the Danish liquor.  I loved the open faced sandwiches on my recent trip to Copenhagen.

The streets of Bangkok, Thailand are alive with vendors selling many delicious treats – but none more delightful than som tum --- green papaya salad that dances on your tongue!

If Barbecue is your thing --- real Texas barbecue – then head to Austin Texas for brisket, ribs and pulled pork.

I found the best food in Belgium on my recent trip to Brugge! I cannot wait to go back.

Let’s plan your foodie trip!
