Europe is Calling

Many would argue that the very best time to visit Europe is in the autumn --- and the weather can be glorious.
Try hiking on volcanic Madeira, the rugged Portuguese island --- explore the sub-tropical botanical gardens in capital Funchal and have a glass of port while sitting in the famous harbor.
Experience nature at her most splendid when you hike --- or drive –through the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean in Wales. There’s a fully 50-mile drive through endless treed roadways full of autumn colors.
Frank Gehry’s iconic Guggenheim Bilbao attracts visitors from around the world… the architecture alone is worth a visit but it houses many fine works of art. Enjoy grazing at pintxo bars around this Basque city and visit the many galleries.
Harvest season in Umbria is the best time to go ---- grapes are ready for picking. Sample the new wines and old, along with local olive oil and chestnuts. Sign up for a cooking workshop and learn local cuisine. Let’s discuss where you’d like to go this Fall. Ask me about my recent trip to Europe! I visited London, Paris, Berlin, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brugge, and Malmo. |
